1. INSTALL BACK DOOR STAY UPPER BRACKET

(a) Apply adhesive to the threads of the 2 bolts.

Adhesive:

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or Equivalent

(b) Install the back door stay upper bracket with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 20 N·m (199 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf)

2. INSTALL BACK DOOR STAY LOWER BRACKET

(a) Apply adhesive to the threads of the 2 bolts.

Adhesive:

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or Equivalent

(b) Install the back door stay lower bracket with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 20 N·m (199 kgf·cm, 14 ft·lbf)

3. INSTALL BACK DOOR STAY COVER

(a) Engage the clips and install the back door stay cover.

4. INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE STOPPER

(a) Install the back door side stopper with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 7.8 N·m (80 kgf·cm, 69 in·lbf)

5. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

6. INSTALL BACK DOOR DAMPER STAY SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the back door damper stay sub-assembly with the lower side stop ring.

(b) Install the upper side stop ring. NOTICE: Install the back door damper stay sub-assembly while supporting the back door by hand.
